Where to get raw sagefish in wow

Other classes should not have this problem because you will probably be out of melee range and as far as I know only hunters have something like autoshoot.

Players on PVP servers may have more of a problem because there tend to be a heavy mixture of both factions in the area. It's still easy to find schools to fish, though. All in all, the sagefish are well worth catching and cooking for most classes because eating smoked sagefish generates both health and mana, they are easy to catch and the recipe is available from plenty of vendors. You will probably want to empty your bags before fishing for sagefish.

You will catch quite a few watertight trunks and other drops in addition to the sagefish, even if you only fish from the schools. Finally, you will probably find it easier to see your bobber if you fish from the side of the river that puts the sun at your back. The schools are easily accessible from both sides. I haven't fished for sagefish elsewhere, so I don't know how well some of my comments apply outside Hillsbrad Foothills.

I always check the little pond outside of Tarren Mill because it almost always has 4 pools, which is a ton of fish.

If you're on a PvP server though, make sure to watch your back. I had some rogue try to gank me, but I was able to shield and ran back to Tarren Mill quickly enough to survive.

Make sure to position yourself so your lure lands near or in the school. Hard to explain, you will see when you just experiment. Comment by I've always gotten plenty up and down Southfury river. Comment by mentos For anyone doing The Limnologist , and you have yet to catch the Raw Loch Frenzy , you might as well just go to the center lake in Loch Modan and get both at once. Snagged both within just a few minutes of each other. There are plenty of Sagefish schools around, plus the Loch is the only place you can actually get the Loch Frenzy.

Comment by Azshara map seems to show pools at Lake Mennar, there are no pools of fish there as of this posting. Did find some in the river between Ashenvale and Azshara. Comment by I just ran from Southshore to the W. Plaguelands and found NO schools of raw sagefish. Comment by I don't know what someone was saying above, but I just now flew around Astranaar and my Fish Founder showed that 8 Sagefish Pools were up in the lake at the one time. So if you are after these, this would a perfect place to fish them, as there is plenty there!

Comment by Xtrmsin The northern limit of Duskwood the river beetwen Duskwood and Elwynn Forest is a very nice, and easy to reach for alliance, spot to farm them, the school repop fast enought for you to perma farm them :.

Comment by Mossmallows A fantastic place to fish for sagefish is Lake Nazferiti in Stranglethorn, and the river it's connected to. You can find schools the entire way from Nesingwary's Expedition down to Fort Livingston. These schools also contain stranglekelp and watertight trunks.

For example, Lake Everstill in Redridge Mountains is a great place to level fishing and cooking for low level Alliance characters, as the waters under and around the Lakeshire Docks are teeming with these fish! Comment by Raineya The river in Hillsbrad seems very inconsistent. I ran up and down the river three times and never found so much as 1 school of sagefish. I thought maybe someone else had been there and they hadn't respawned so I buggered off and did some much needed house cleaning.

About an hour later I go back and I did manage to find 1 school but it was empty other wise. I remember this being a prime spot to fish Sagefish , though it was a long time ago. Sad cow is sad. Comment by Syoss As of I found that going to Lake Nezferiti in Northern Stranglethorn and running around the lake and the river leading to The Vile Reef was the best spot.

I tried out Hillsbrad too, as the top comments of this page said, but it seems like that spot is no longer good for these fish. I found a couple schools but after that nothing.

In Stranglethorn however, I found 8 schools in under ten minutes. The schools can be found by walking around the lake, and are easy to spot. Comment by Allakhazam I find the best place to raise fishing and cooking bye catching sagefish, at ashenvale as there are lots of schhols near mystral lake and in fellfire hill and you can awlays get some other fish.
