Where can i find elementium

Comment by Your best bet inorder to find a load amount of Elementium in only one area without a need to go anywhere is in Twilight Highlands, down at Elementium Depths, where you fight Magmatooth once again. A single run into the deepest part got me a good stack, and if not, the remaining ores left to make up the twenty ores would be replaced by Pyrium.

So get to the cave, and farm your ass off while you still can. Hope at least some of you find these statistics useful in one some way. Spirea - Drak'thul EU. I heard about varying resources between servers, maybe this is it. I'll do another run to try and confirm. The assumption is that the selling prices of obsidium and elementium approach equality.

On my server, the R:U is about 2. Couple with the fact that uncommons sell far quicker due to the advantage of supplying the rares market via transmutation, demand from freshly-geared 85's as well as JC dailies. Your results may vary. Comment by Andrea87 Still pretty worth to buy off the AH to prospect. High due to previous daily quest. Off rare gems, I got about g. Out of uncommon ones, g. Looks like Blizzard added a Justice Point dump for players who don't need more heirloom or ilvl gear.

Comment by I am very disapointed that they made this a normal metal, I wish they would have kept it as a rare epic material instead of changing it into the saronite of cataclysm. I miss vanilla wow. Comment by Kimmberlynn I was finding it rather lucrative to farm these in Twilight Highlands. A nice path through the river up around Grim Batol. I was finding four and five nodes of Pyrite clustered together around the gates of Grim Batol along with six or so nodes of Elementium Ore just between the two gates.

Unfortunately due to the phasing of the zone when you begin the chain Precious Goods it changed the phasing. Now I can see all the nodes on my mini map and visually but when I get close to mining distance they all disappear. Comment by good post except what zone you were in may of been more helpful than just stats. Comment by buzz For the lore side of this, this ore is not native to Azeroth.

This ore is actually from the elemental plane of earth known and Deepholm. Before the shattering it was a very rare thing to have as the stone mother therazane would not allow the ore to go beyond her realm.

After Deathwing broke out of Deepholm during the cataclysm elementim became more readily Avalible on the surface of Azeroth. Comment by Raystigz Prospecting these and vendoring the gems are probably one of the best ways to make gold right now till 4.

These are the stats I got from buying a ton of ore today and prospecting: Amount of ore: 49 stacks Cost of Ore: g 40g each Amount of green quality gems: Amount of green gems extra: 15 Amount from vendoring green gems: g Amount of blue quality gems: 63 Inferno Ruby: 9 Demonseye: 18 Amberjewel: 9 Ocean Sapphire: 6 Ember Topaz: 11 Dream Emerald: Comment by We know we get between 1 and 3 gems each time we prospect between uncommon and rare gems.

I'm interested in the distribution of this. This is the data I have. If anyone else has data separated in these categories I'd appreciate it. Comment by Bonanca Now let's do some math. Not any mobs at all really. Hidden category: Pages with broken file links. Only one way to find out!

The day of late night shenanigans and fun. Hope everyone's week went amazingly. What's everyone else doing? Discussion To discuss the topics on this wiki, you can visit our community forums! OreDict Name. Mana Generating. Utility Flower. Here is an Elementium Farming route in Deepholm:. You can also go to Uldum to farm Elementium. Just like in Twilight Highlands, you will also find Pyrite here. You should follow the same route that I recommend for farming Pyrite in Uldum, since the spawn locations of Elementium and Pyrite are exactly the same.

Tip : Have you ever wondered how players have so many level 85s or how they can level an 85 so quickly? I use and strongy recommend Zygor's in-game leveling addon which will enable you to level in 5 days of played time. You can find a free version of it here.

I spent about 90 minutes in Deepholm and came out with over Elementium Ore. There must have been someone else mining in the area when you were there John. Much thanks to the Admin for taking the time to make this guide! It was only level 80s I don't think that matters. When I started farming I was the only 1 left online still in the raid this might be relevant.

Some of the raid weren't attuned and were lock summoned in and some ran through via UBRS but had not finished their attunement this also may be relevant. I tried 3 different packs, 3 times each and then a few extra times on one pack for luck and not one Elementium Ore dropped.

Now, I know statistically I could run it a bazillion times and not get a drop but probability wise having no drops is statistically speaking very small indeed. Come on, it sure seems like something else is affecting drop rates other than simple probability and RNG. So if you want to make insane gold bring about 40 ores to BDF and sell them for 2k gold a unit and I promise you they will fly off the shelfs. Comment by Pawaox I had killed a techincan who died in a wall with the Ore.

I was able to roll, but never recieved the item. The corpse just kept layin there. And they usually despawn incredible quick! I then did 15 pulls same amount, making it easier for calculations and i still recieved nothing Or does a corpse in the wall with an ore screw everything up?

Today, the first packs didn't respawn, and we've farmed some, and have yet to see any more elementium. Comment by valakivi i just cleared BWL, as master looter, we got 2 ores. Comment by To the people that had ores drop from resetted packs, do you kill all of the technicians every pull?

Because my observations seem to indicate that every mob is assigned an epic at the first moment someone zones in remember, that was used to check BT instances for glaves before anyone else in the battlegroup logged on that had a glaive, if you didn't DC then either the instance ID had glaves in them or someone in your battlegroup had logged on with them. And it was also confirmed by a blue that loot is generated the moment the mob spawns, not when it is killed.

This would confirm everyone's experiences here. But when I killed the spellbinder which I had not killed before she actually dropped an epic BOP axe. Confirming that resetting doesn't delete the epics, you just only have one shot at it per mob in the pack, no matter how many times you reset and kill it.

Comment by Melizande This makes no sense at all. Last night, my group attempted to farm ore using the existing strategy of killing all goblins in the first pack but one and resetting the encounter. Our first attempt we took too long getting back and all the bodies had reset. Our second attempt we got one ore. Our third, fourth, fifth, and sixth attempts yielded nothing. We killed the exact same goblins every time because we had one marked. Nothing changed. Our seventh attempt yielded one ore!

And the next 30 gave us nothing. I don't understand what would have caused this to happen. The next day I got back in and the goblins were all missing from the pack despite my leaving one alive every time. I attempted to pull the second pack in the room successfully and when I wiped, ALL goblins reset, including the first pack.

Any thoughts? Comment by I've been farming this for the past couple of days due to it being the last parts of the Thunderfury quest chain that I need before getting the sword. I don't know if they skipped any of them, but all of the packs were there. I have been 2 boxing a prot warrior and a shadow priest to kill the goblins. Then running out. The first pack by the alchemy lab dropped 2 ores. I have pulled that group repeatedly for the better part of 2 hours.

No other ores dropped. I pulled the group on the stairs 3 times and no ores. I am not going to say that the theroy of respawned packs don't drop ores or not, but so far, I haven't had any luck. I am going to go back again shortly to keep farming them. I need 7 more ores. I'll post if I do happen to get anymore ores on this raid ID. The Alchemy Lab 4 times, the pack on the stairs and the pack on top of the stairs 1 time each.

No Ores. I might try a few more packs before I call it a night. Comment by Reseting really doesn't seem to work. Over the last few days, I''ve spent numerous hours trying to solo-farm the ore in various ways. I guess I'll just give a short list of the facts that lead me to believe, that that farming elementium by reseting the technicians is ineffective: loot: I looted a total of 14 stacks of Runecloth i. Therefore, whatever some people may be saying about the farmability of the ore, the more reliable and faster way seems to be arranging a new group and killing those technicians the regular way.

While nobody knows exactly how it works, it seems that there is a set amount of ore that drops per Raid ID. It can drop from respawned technicians. It is unclear to me exactly how much ore can drop per Raid ID.

I was personally able to get 6 by only farming the first group past Broodlord before it stopped dropping for me Killed that first group about 15 more times and then the rest without a drop. By farming I mean, I was killing all the technicians, leaving the other mobs alive, zoning out, and then zoning back in and looting the corpses. All the mobs in the group will respawn if you leave at least one mob alive and zone out. Perhaps 6 is the 'cap' or perhaps the amount of ore that can drop per Raid ID is random.

That would require more testing to say for sure. In any case, the safest way to maximize your elementium ore is to farm the first group after Broodlord until you believe that you have reached your 'cap' for that particular Raid ID.

If you clear the group 10 times without a drop, it's probably safe to assume you reached the cap. The reason you would do this instead of just killing all the groups right away is that, it may be possible to kill all the groups without reaching your 'cap' for that Raid ID. Comment by It will be renamed to Elementium Ingot to make room for the new uncommon ore in Cataclysm. I got 4 ores this way, around 1 every pull i did, but after the fourth I never got another drop no matter what.

I keep trying around an hour and half to see if another ore drop, but eventually gave up and decided to talk to a GM to see if some if the theories written here are true and the instance has a hard cap of ores or something. Indeed it has. The GM told me that the drop is designed this way so after an undertermined number of drops you can't know how many the raid ID won't drop any more ores so they cannot be farmed.

He didn't know the reason of why it works this way other than "it was the developers' decision that this item cannot be farmed". I asked if there was a way to know when the item would stop dropping and he said "when you don't see it drop anymore : ", so there is no way to know when is bad RNG and when is the cap reached other than by intuition. Here is the conversation with the GM. Comment by Cleared whole instance today, didn't kill 4 goblin packs, and after a few hours I came back killed goblins in each pack and then soft reseted the packs by running away from the instance.

The first pack dropped an ore, and when I re-entered the instance I killed the same pack again and it dropped another ore. Killed the other packs atleast 2 times each and no more ores dropped.. Comment by I've recently been farming dual-boxing the ore and as previous posters have stated, there appears to be a random limit on how many ores you can get per raid ID. I've had 6 drop in one raid but in another one had 4 drop before they stopped.

I can confirm that ores drop off the respawned technicians but once the 'limit' is reached, no more ores will drop. Comment by Asherett Just wanted to add in here that on FML I guess :. It seam to be 5 for me this time, seen many others ppl locked at 5.

Some others say 8. Random is random ok Why it was changed I do not know but Im sure you came here looking for that answer. Comment by I have a question about the ingot drop mechanics.

What I usually do is clear the first 3 bosses then log off for a few hours. When I return the supressors in the supressor room have all despawned. I then proceed to farm the first or second goblin pack for the ingots. My question is since there is a limited drop per ID, am I losing out on ingots because I let the entire instance "reset" by leaving for a few hours.
